A walk along an inner city street coloured a rainy spring day. (Toronto, Canada)

Bright faced dandelions in a field of fresh spring grass.

A colony of Zebra Mussels made their home in a rust-orange metal pipe that
once supported a boat dock. (Lake Ontario, Canada)

A steel mill on the edge of Lake Ontario exhales into the blue sky of a spring day.

As the waves of a frenzied winter storm batter the shoreline rocks, they gradually freeze in
peaked patterns. This picture was taken several days after such a storm. Bright sun, blue
skies and crisp air made for an invigorating late afternoon walk. (Lake Ontario, Canada)

Standing under a tall old tree, I enjoyed hiding in its shadow embrace to take this picture -
another view of the frozen waves. The picture doesn't really do the waves justice as they
actually extend about 20 feet out over the water and rise about 10 feet above the water's
surface.

Off in the distance, across the curve of the Lake, you can faintly see the Toronto skyline
(about 70 km away). Toronto is Canada's largest city and people from all over the world
now call it home.
