Have fun!

Hi Derek, I like this one, but I wonder if you can make the T and P just a bit shorter, just as tall or a wee bit shorter than the circle of the logo, and also put a space between TerraPi, as in Terra Pi. Curious how that may look. Sorry I have no time to join with this now. Will do when it comes to implemenetation, as any design would need to be created as a transparent gif, so the background can shine through. #5 here will work fine that way. ~Hans

Let's try it and see how it looks. #5a: ~Derek

Fatter lettering, moved the i ~Hans

I like this one, but wonder if there might be too much red... What would it look like with either blue lettering like the circle, or green lettering, with a green circle too - perhaps the green of terrapi7.gif? ...or a brighter green? ~Sharon

5c:

I made this smaller to fit the sidebar, and made the font smaller so the red of the font is not too domineering. I took the "erra" down to match the "i" of Pi.
Wonder how this would look with blue words? ~Hans
I like the lettering this way. I still think the little circle inside the tent should be the red circle, though, symbolising the fire inside the tipi, the earth, the hearth... which means the big circle colour would have to change and probably the lettering too... to blue? (sky) green? (nature) brown? (earth) Don't know... ~Sharon
...variations on a theme... I like this even lettering... playing with colour. ~Sharon

All the ones in section 5c definitely have a "Native American spirituality" feel to them. ~Derek.

South African flag colors: ~Derek.

5d: ~Derek

I like the green, but I had wondered about making only the little circle inside the tent, and the lettering green, leaving the big circle aroung the tent red... or perhaps the reverse... red fire within the green earth around the tipi? ...or would red & green make it look too much like Christmas? :) ~Sharon

Yes I think it would look like Christmas. Actually my favorite color combo in a humorous kind of way is the green and purple one number 9 below which has an "Irish New Age" feel to it! ~Derek.
Let's see... Latin (Terra) Greek (Pi) Celtic New Age (green & purple)... doesn't do anything for me. :)) How about brown circle & lettering with a red circle in the tent? Red for fire within, brown for the earth? ~Sharon
Hi Sharon I was joking a bit with the Irish New Age thing (in Africa, with Native American tents!) -- it was the incongruiy of it that amused me! ~Derek.
I knew you were joking. :-)... the combo is amusing... an attempt to become "global"? :-)

Love the simplicity of the stylized tipi! :) ...and the "giving back to the earth"... and the font, except for the capital T & P... is it possible to find a simpler but similar font for just the two capitals? ...Picky, aren't I! :-) ~S

Hi Sharon I don't actually have that font on my computer -- I went to a site that allows you to sample fonts http://www.fontpool.com/categories/script/page1.html and just typed in Terra Pi as my sample text, then downloaded the resultant image. Try it out! ~Derek

I prefer the simplicity of the current logo. The "stylized tipi" looks very much like an international camping site symbol. The current logo is clearly a tipi, white, with smoke flaps, hold in the red circle symbolizing the earth, home in the earth. the only question for me remains if it needs the words Terra Pi with, and if yes, in what style, font, size, colour etc. Not sure if I got a favourite yet. Hans
