The daffodils were early risers. They yawned and stretched and greeted the sun with silent joy.

Camellia arrived at the spring flower show wearing her loveliest soft pink dress and a shy, sweet smile.

The comfrey was getting so big it sprawled all over the path, so I dug it up and moved it to a corner near the compost where it could spread out lavishly without getting stepped on. It's so abundant now, I was able to give a whole bag of root pieces to a friend to plant in the meadow for her horses. Only a week later, and this little fellow stuck his head out of the soil and proudly announced he wasn't going! Such tenacity!
