Spring has come early this year on the west coast of Canada. About a month ago, I noticed these lovelies doing their yoga in the garden, stretching their leaves to greet the warmth of the sun. Would anyone like to compose a gentle melody suitable for these peaceful awakenings?

Well~ here is a very first go. I'm not really satisfied with it but I look forward with delight to another working his or her magic. The picture is so lovely and, for me, it evokes a sense of the enduring peace and steadfast power that underlies the vitality of awakening. The chord is meant to represent the constant. It sounds a little too brash on the midi. ~Gemma

Hi Gemma for me the piano sounds fine if I play it back through the Yamaha attached to the computer, but not through the computer sound card. Here's an experiment: ~Derek.

Let's try this ... another experiment: ~Derek.

This one sounds like a rock anthem, but it's quite fun: ~Derek.

Attach:sun4.mid or with a guitar part that needs a good sound card or synthesizer to make is sound right Attach:sun4a.mid or a slightly different version Attach:sun4b.mid

And here's maybe more what I meant, a free-floating kind of version: ~Derek.
Attach:sun6.mid and a slightly different version with one bar taken out of the intro and some slight rhythmic changes Attach:sun6a.mid
